We placed the order in the beginning of december end received the foils and boards 2:nd of March.
But that was a pre order before production was up and running
(I know, brave thing to do after Carafino business but we really want to learn foiling now. 1,5 years from when we ordered the first foils).
I think the first batch is allready sold out. From their web shop you can see new foils is on the way and can be delivered about 9 Days after 15th of may:

Got mine a little while back, but can't objectively give feedback as this is the first carbon foil with long mast that I have. Compared to my 2001 cast aluminium foil it seemed a bit wobbly, but don't know how wobbly the carbon ones should be. Clean finish on the product. Riding it was a bit daundting as well as it handles nothing like my previous foil. got a couple of good runs on my third session, and the smoothness and speed was great.
That's it. Not much info : )

I like the idea of both wings providing positive lift, because it should potentially be more efficient.
It seems to me that two positive lift wings would work in a canard configuration, with the smaller wing in front.
To tilt the nose of the board up increases the angle of attack, but also moves the fuselage forward compared to the rider's centre of gravity. To keep the centre of lift in approximately the same place vertically to his centre of gravity would mean getting more lift from the rear wing relative to the front wing as the angle of attack increases.
I would expect that a short fuselage with wings being as close in size as possible and make the rear wing profile produce more lift relative to the front wing as the angle of attack increases. Part of the extra lift would come from the size of the wings and part from the wing aerofoils.

I am looking into buying my first foil.
I have spoken to some hydrofoilers out there and I conclude that the differences between foils in learning are there but minor. The end speed of the foils can be very different though. I am looking to get a fast (not to expensive) foil. Can anyone advise me on how fast this Gong Hellvator foil will be?
Is there a rule of thumb to guess adequately how fast a foil can expected to be? I would expect:
- Aspect ratio of the wings - the higher AR the faster.
- Hydrodynamics of the structure - the more streamlined looks the faster.
- thickness of profiles - the thinner the faster.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
