Postby Bajadrifty » Thu Feb 26, 2015 7:54 pm

Has anyone played with the duel wing lift combo. The gong guys are going into production. Has anyone tried there owne version. I made an extra trailer wing with lift but have yet to try it,

You dont really need to make an asymmetrical wing to test having lift on the rear wing.

Just shim the rear up a lot at the LE (or down at the TE), this way it will lift fine even if symmetrical.

Then you can get an idea how a lifting rear wing works - as it is primarily the trim and stability that should be your worries

If it works fine, you can make an upwards cambered rear wing to use the lift with bigger margin when you maneuver and carve.

Maybe a lift combo is possible?

This very even pressure distribution on a wing makes me think it should be a more stable profile for a single wing.

This is a very skilled Horue rider on a single wing.

You can see the Gong Hellvator lift/lift combo when he jumps at 24 seconds into this.

Thanks revhed and Zeeko - I'd wondered why lift lift wasn't popular when it worked with aeroplanes. Its to do with the distance and connections between the wings and the centre of gravity.
The distance will always stay, but at least I can start thinking about whether the connections and wings might change.
