Try water starting to toe side?
Huh? :?:
Can you pls. elaborate
I can water start toeside on my good side. Haven't tried it on my bad side.
Same as doing it on a TT etc.

Just send the kite to the opposite side of the window. Let it go high across the zenith and use that to lift you out of the water first, then the dive to get you moving...

Isn't that the best ! Love when everything goes quiet

Do you find riding the foil a bit harder to maintain balance ? I find I sometimes loose control and always land on my back

I get that quiet. harder to maintain balance thing when I am riding slow down wind looping the kite not running fast. I hadn't attempted the broad reach speed run before yesterday. Once dialed you feel as locked in an solid as the upwind reach.

I like speed!

If it is, I bet it will be with really small kites. Something you can easily fly one handed. Im a big fan of unhooked strapless on a surfboard in waves, but it is as limiting as it is awesome. The style of riding that evolved from the west coast guys who started using a slider... Rebstock, Alldredge et al. is massively impressive and took things to a new level compared to even the best of what riders like Felix can do unhooked. Both are amazing but I doubt unhooking on a foil will catch on any more than it has on surfboards.

Way back, Hadlow had a" hoop " of steel rod going around his body and would allow c-loop to rotate freely 360 degrees. It disappeared.

I have no desire to unhook.

On a side not I have ridden wind swell recently, set the kite drifting and fully let go of the bar. I find that very amusing and good for balance when riding the wind swells.
