@chirojoseph
Every shaper could easily install new straps inserts for you if you plan to foil strapped. It won't cost much!

It's true Mitaka but if I just spent 800 dollars on a board I don't want to drill holes and put some aftermarket inserts I want it to work plug and play. While on the topic, are fone using threaded inserts and metric bolts for straps or nylon /plastic block with pointy ssteel self tapping screws on these boards?

chirojoseph wrote:Renaud you read my mind! I was just wondering about your kfbox adapter... Working with the f1 boards. The picture you included is with their dedicated foil board... Can you comment if the Manta is properly balanced to work with the Mitú convertible surf? In regards to the front footstrap placement? That works be fantastic news!
And thanx sooo much to the above poster for the heads up on the alpine foil incompatibility! You probably just saved me from hundreds of dollars of psychiatric counseling.
the foil position should be similar to the fone with the manta.
Will try it soon!

BUMP. Can anyone confirm whether the Fone Mitu Convertible has metal threaded inserts or just the nylon/plastic block and self tapping stainless steel screws?
thanx again

I have the Mitu 5'6'' not convertible and the foot strap inserts have no metal thread. I expect the convertible version to be the same.
