Take a ride with me on my Foilboard Racing setup through my local spot. As the new R1V3 kites are arriving soon, I found this a fitting sendoff to the R1v2 after almost 3 years of successful racing.

agreed, kiting looks much better!

But, always cool to see new stuff. Where would we be without people trying new stuff which looked weird in the beginning :D

Isnt that the good old "Wingsail" like we had back in the late 80s?

We had one here too.

Maybe slightly tweaked now as simply removed the mast because foiling does not require the same power, but pretty much the same:

The application is for those who want to ride with wave power and have the kite flagged out, but can use the kite to get back out to catch the next wave. You see plenty of videos of guys on small SUPfoils riding waves for 1km, but no videos of them paddling back out.
