foiling near London

Hi guys,
where are the best spots for foiling near London, I just bought a Silente and would like to go out ASAP

I normally kite (twintip) at Southend or on the south coast and saw a few foilers already at high tide so maybe I'll try and go tomorrow (Monday 4th Jan)

anyone around? any other good spots for learning?

Yeah high tides are running better hours towards the weekend. Although like you probably know anything above 15mph generally it gets pretty choppy. But found a slower tide seems more friendly.

So what stage of learning are you at?

Happy days, that's stage 0.5 hope to catch up soon then. Have you kited long at Southend? You must already met some ofus ?

I've been there a few times and met a few people yep, I really love the spot...never been there during the week, is it likely I'll find somebody tomorrow you think? planning to get there around 10ish
and again on Thursday hopefully... need to use some carried over holidays in the first week

If it's windy normally some one is around, but obviously week days are a bit quieter.
At East beach for foils normally starts being deep enough around 1.5 hours before and after High tide or so. Try not to start learning if the wind is blowing towards the boom! Especially with a Silent as they float a little to well. So s, se, e or ne winds will be best.
I'm not around this week, best of luck if you get down tomorrow. Best tip like has been said before, forget about the foil first, ride the board. Once your comfortable and gain the speed the foil will start to do its thing.
