Gusting to 35 kts , south west wind. Very high tide, could foil right off the beach.

Now you only need the wetsuit too :naughty:

Your bar looks quite long, for such a (I assume) small kite, if 35 knots gusts ?

5m2 would be a handful in so much wind ?
Or maybe the average wind was way less, as the water surface indicates ?

I use a 5m2 (tube) from 20 knots average wind, @170 lbs.

We had a great afternoon at Cape Charles, 12-15kts around noon that dialed up to a peak gust of 25kts. Great couple of hours on the foil then it turned into a twintip boost-a-thon on the 9m!

On the south side Poquoson was nice, 20-35. 8)
There were some lulls too,maybe 15, but a good warm day to scratch the wind itch.

By the way is that JB foil on a LF last or does he make his own masts?
