Perfect. The fuse to mast bolts got stuck so they drilled em out, which was why I got it cheap.

I'm sure there are others on here with more insight to bending aluminum.
Can't flip the mast, as the top bolts are very stuck and I don't want to risk having to drill them too.

Finding a machine shop here will be... difficult. Finding somewhere to do it perfectly will be impossible. I have a mini-mill, but getting it square will be really tough too, hence the filing.

The ruler is only 300mm so you don't get the full effect -- when laid on the floor, the bend is about 10mm. From the front hole, it's straight so... fingers crossed.

Noticed the tip is also splayed out and has a little crazing around it -- think I might just cut it off about 5mm down and call it job down. Oh, and re-tap the hole.

looks like you will have to straighten the fuselage - I was advised to get the Aluminium stinking hot using a paint stripper gun - until it goes black then quench it in water before straightening - it worked for me.

Took it to our mechanic guy who did the job. Looks nice... fingers crossed it performs!

Thanks for all the advice!

Usually it's not a good idea to heat heat-treatable aluminum alloys (such as 6061 which I believe the LF foil is. You can be cutting the ultimate tensile strength in half by heating it!

You could also do what meteo did and build a new better fuselage for a few bucks viewtopic.php?f=196&t=2390317&start=0

Yeah, that's banging around in my head too... I assume that's a solid bar? I've never seen such a thing here, and I've been searching for it for other things :( might just buy the LF longer fuse...

We'll see. Need a decent day of attempting to ride!

Whilst I have not seen many LF foils they have all been bent exactly as yours.
For most Al alloys once bent forever weak.
Buy a new one. As for mast, I'm sure I read somewhere about factory seconds going cheap.
And don't forget the Tef Gel.
