As I am quite sure that the safest way to learn to fly a KBHF is strapless followed by a front foot hook only,
I just found that there are now ones made for this.
Someone on this forum suggested cutting half the standard NSI foot hooks as the horizontal section is to long as it looks like they have done.

Using a front foot hook only provides correct board front foot placement and just enough control for the water start with the huge advantage of safety for both you and your KBHF in the assured crash event while learning.
I wonder how many guys out there wish they would have used a front only foot hook to learn, and into the future, before they got stuck in their either front or so not needed rear strap?
Of course for racing and jumps straps, rear included, seem, are better.
