The Spotz don't use the STD Tuttle as has been described in the OP.

It using the Chinnok Box Measurements wich is 61mm deep at the deepest point not 49mm. Axis also uses this box.

So Spotz are not using std Tuttle but a modified Deep Tuttle, shortened from 67 to 61mm on the mast, and a Deep Tuttle on their boards (Chinook box) or is it also smaller ?

Or ?
Can you or anyone clarify this 61mm depth as I am not sure what this is ?

Axis uses Deep Tuttle they write (besides the plate).

Chinook produces a tuttle box which has a depth of 61mm at the front. This is not a modified box. This is actually a standard and us build into most windsurfing slalom boards. This is what Spotz and Axis and a few other brands are using as it's easy to get the Chinook box and there is no problems with variations in box width and depth.

Thanks Gunnar :thumb: - I did not know (ride windsurf waveboards and freestyleboards and they never use deep box'es)

Can anyone elaborate on the precise measurements - not much to be found on the internet...
There must be a drawing/spec ?
Assume screws are the same ø7mm 105mm apart so a Std Tuttle can fit in the Chinook box, and a Chinook head can fit in a Deep Tuttle box.

I remember the Chinook box now I see it, but thought it was a Deep Tuttle (and a small Std Tuttle version) but apparently a third height and not Tuttle in its original two heights.

What is the name for this head/standard ? Chinook (medium) Tuttle, or ?

Will ask my windsurf friends, but maybe some in here knows, as (ex)windsurfers - thats the beauty of a worldwide forum

It really depends. For example the Cobra tuttle boxes are .5mm less wide.

Here you can find the Chinook: http://chinooksailing.com/index.php/win ... e-box.html

Here are the dimensions of my Spotz and Axis Tuttle Heads.

Height Front: 59mm
Height Back : 40mm
Width: 16mm
Length 156mm

Screws are 105mm apart.

The link only shows the outer measurements of the Chinook box, which is not interesting for users seeking what is compatible.
So the depth in this box is important - you say it is 61mm at the front ?
So a Std Tuttle (if not too loose) and a Chinook medium Tuttle will fit.

Height Front: 59mm.
Is that the 90 degree vertical height, or height measured on the front ?
As with the 10 degree angle there is about 1mm difference in these (0,9mm).

Yes, the boxes and exact widths/fit has always been a tiny bit different, unfortunately

Delta uses the same tuttle box as spotz. I've never seen a spotz with anything but tuttle.

I don't think the taaroa boards are deep tuttle. I think they are pro box. Taaroa foils are available with pro, tuttle, or deep tuttle heads though.
