Ha haa, I was thinking the same when I saw the headline - would it be a new record over the 11feet/335cm hydrofoil ?

But for some reason some American English measure area in meter or centimeter in daily talk/writing very often for a shortcut... Like a 6m kite f.ex.
I think its odd too, and a bit funny, as you have to think twice what is meant sometimes, if it is not self explaining
So the F-One 800cm2 wing is faster than the similar sized LF, which means it is thinner I assume, and apparently more high aspect, great and awesome for practising things, and marginal winds (or heavy riders)
