Imagine this on a hydrofoil!

Lift eFoil - $12,000 USD
Found it. The video description says it's a Freestyle Systems Alta 8, here's their web store. It's $17,495.
I'm not a drone expert, but here's an 8-motor drone for $669.tkaraszewski wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2019 3:33 amFound it. The video description says it's a Freestyle Systems Alta 8, here's their web store. It's $17,495.

So $12,000 is sounding pretty affordable in comparison.
yeah.. you are not a drone expert, me nether... but that $699 drone can only lift a gopro while $17K one hauls 20 pounds, which is not that much tag, but I guess may work for HF...maybe...FLandOBX wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2019 1:02 pmI'm not a drone expert, but here's an 8-motor drone for $669.tkaraszewski wrote: ↑Thu May 16, 2019 3:33 amFound it. A second reason to drone-foil as shown in the second video could be the relative advantage of not having a dormant motor on the back of your foil when foil-surfing. The second video shows a tow-in that allows the foiler to ride the waves without power assist. My guess is that an efoil wouldn't do as well motoring out and then riding the waves back in without e-power. The dormant motor would probably disrupt the foil's performance on the ride back in. Seems like another advantage for the drone. Maybe someone with efoil-wave experience could comment.
