Hey boys,

Round two ✌️
Rebuild first mono version to most flexible wing stab verion.
Mono wing combined with adjustable stab, ride what you want depend of style and conditions
Wing 600 wide apox 900mm²
Wing with stab 600mm length
Stab wide 400mm
All set wing and stab weigh 805g
Tryed yesterday long version, just amazing 😜
Of course foil looks now a bit ugly but I don't care

That's images of the new prototype from my instagram
Great to hear you are also planning to build and sell your monofoils, if you are interested would be nice to test it in spring. :thumb:

Nice job vol,
I like this a lot as it is very simple but looks like a good compromise in all possible setups. I could imagine a convertible in this way may be a good entrance for many.

I just would add something like a 25 x 4 mm profile plate as I have done myself at least inbetween strut and fiberglass wing, to spread the load of the sharp strut sides under torsional wing load.

I was asked to show some more pictures of my gong bricolage :) .
After having tried also a lot other big wings I think the old gong wings (mostly "M" used and shown) are good for monofoiling as being big but it seem there are significant better wing shapes especially for monofoiling, as for sure Moses Onda but also Duotones big ones. Actually not enough motivation to invest into a new M pro wing. But if anybody is interested to buy my old convertible fuselage with wings, maybe I will go for it and build a new convertible fuselage, even if the actual works pretty good.

So here a few pigs of different setups, I can change position of strut by 4 cm steps but normaly just use the outer positions:

Do you mean that Moses Onda wing is not very suitable for monofoiling ? i remember you (or some others) in this topic wrote earlier that Onda very suitable for monofoiling. How many points you give to Onda for monofoiling on 10 points system - 8/10 or 9/10 ?

@ Sergio: I'm about to cut my gong fuselage to turn it into a monofoil.
I've seen that you moved the wing closer to the strut than the original position. Would my idea of just cutting the fuselage work or would I have to build a custom fuselage to get the wing closer to the strut?

Thanks!

If you want to maintain trim and dynamics, you should move the wing further forward instead :thumb:

Have you learned monofoiling just removing your stab first?
Could be an easy way to start

Hi guys

This is my second version of the mono foil
Wing is convertible to mono or with stab where you can change length from ultra short to long
I tried all options
Mono is nice very sensitive, maybe it is fun for strapless but for me personally is to unstable... I like more dynamic riding on waves stronger wind and jumps, with mono very difficult to jump and riding fast ...
Even ultra short setup all length about 55cm is very fun, super playful and enough stable, very nice for strapless, but if you like jumps in stronger wind conditions definitely need 65cm or more length.

Hi! First day without, rear wing. After some time I rode pretty well.
Make it sense to move front wing closer to mast? Will it make some noticeable difference?
