OW is also great to use for general purpose transport. I use mine to carry gear to and from the beach, short trips to the grocery store, and even from nearest remote parking spot to final destination where there is no parking. It's awesome to have hands free control so you have both arms free to load up cargo if needed.

A bunch of us have them at our local kite spot and it's incredibly fun to cruise around while waiting for the wind to come up, or in the event it doesn't come up you still feel satisfied you got some kind of session We are gradually improving our pump track, hope to post pics soon It's no off road hydrofoil, but the pitch control and commitment is a bit similar.

I just started to get grip tape peel up under that front heel with weighted pivot so have shifted to a light heel lift. Its less movement and when dialled almost imperceptible to the observer. I basically unweight the front heel as Im braking to a stop and the tail just drops the last inch at shut of.

To each their own, but if your getting any peel up of the grip tape at the front heel, thats likely the issue.

Seems silly and unsafe that they do not have a cover over the top of the wheel. Have a shoelace get in there and I'm certain skin will be lost. Other than that it looks like a blast.

Yes, you are right - but on the other hand, I like it used "primitively" without.

You can get a cover for the wheel, no problem, if you like - it is an optional accessory.

Both for the onewheel here, and also for the others coming out now that has lower drag (narrow) wheels that works better on hard surfaces, but of course not well on the beach like this one
