Tandem foil jumping is fun too. Our highest so far is 30'.

I have to try this with my foiling girlfriend. Are you hooking to the rear handle pass strap? Possible to go without dual footstraps?

Yes, and yes. I use the extra straps because we jump and do rotations.

Yes you don't need the extra footstraps if well harnessed?

I take off and ride without her in the straps occasionally, but I wouldn't feel comfortable jumping without her in them.

it looks like your technique issue and if whisper wings are shape of the Moses ones than i would say it is your technique.
I've probably used all Moses wings for jumping and have never noticed such issue.
- if I am overpowered I can do ~12meters on 12m xr5 but I get tired after a few tacks as my waist harness keeps riding up since I ride with kite at 12 most of the time..
Why not to try a seat harness?
One more thing: stronger wind then kite lower. Keeping at 1200 is pointless and might be dangerous.
The most safest place for a kite in the strongest overpowering gusts is 2-5m above water. NOT IN THE ZENITH.
There is not too much pleasure to foil with a kite @ 1200 anyway.
Have you (or anyone, doing big air) measured the take off speed?
For me, the ghost whisper starts to misbehave once I hit 27-28mph (if GOPRO to be trusted for GPS readings).
It runs stable and super quiet below that speed...

define misbehave? Do you mean cavitating?
