September / October trip in Indonesia. Kitefoiling & Kitesurfing my latest hybrid board from Lift Foil / MHLCustom. Special thanks to Bertrand Fleury from Indokitecamp for the hospitality and coaching, Surffx for the support with kite gear and Nicholas Leason from Lift Foils for listening to my design requests and delivering the best made hybrid Kitesurf / Foilboard on the planet.

While I,we can appreciate your enthusiasm this statement is your opinion and not fact as you seem to intend.
It is easy to post something like this," possibly one of the best IMHO".
http://www.f-onekites.com/Products/Surf ... onvertible
http://www.alpinefoil.com/en/kitefoil-h ... -wave.html
http://zeeko-kites.com/gb/home/327-air- ... -2017.html
It is quite possible, probable IMHO that any, all of these are much better for many reasons in design and build, both board and foil.

It is however a fact that I think it is. It is custom, not an 'off the line' product - so based on what I know, what I requested and was delivered, I think it is the best board for me and what I do, therefore.. :)

I could go on but, like me, you are entitled your opinion. Thanks for your input RH.

Cheers

Nice video...... how do you control your speed after coming down the face of the wave?

it is an excellent looking board. I like it. But if I put my board builders eye on I recon it needs more nose rocker for when its being used as a foil board. A couple of those wipe outs at the end of the vid may have been saved with more nose rocker.

Recon you could get away with more rocker when your in surf mode too. Chances are your not hitting super light wind waves as much and probably get into decent waves when the winds up. So you could live with a little bit of loss of efficiency, Perhaps tweak the tail rocker a bit flatter to compensate?

Food for though for the next board!.....

PS dual use boards are a challenge. There is a compromise between one activity and the other. The perfect foil board is not the perfect surfboard and vise versa, The trick, the holey grail is to find the mid ground that makes it work sweet for both.

PS I notice you run the foil deep and have the board almost touching the water in the waves. Why do you do this?

PSS When I hit the jacking wave coming into the beach normally i'm not prepared for the extra lift the wave gives the foil and I literally pop right out of the water. The foiling business is a crazy thing. I like it.

Posting that is so much better than, :thumb:
" the best made hybrid Kitesurf / Foilboard on the planet."
I like others question the amount of nose scoop, rocker for waves, choppy H20 as we have found almost flat boards do just fine on very flat water but when in waves, chop, scoop helps as well for jump landings.
I am also very convinsed that F wing curve and R wing up swept tips adds stability in both roll and yaw and using less on the R wing can make it feel
plenty loose, and once again have seen guys doing just fine with flat wings, but I wonder what they would think if they could do a one after the other test fly?
