Has anyone tried these hooks for jumping?

That's my interest in them as I'm 100% strapless.

I have been designing, building, and testing my own foot hooks for several years. For me, they are the best foot attachment for anything except a twin tip, especially with booties. It took me quite a few prototypes to get to where I am now, but I am very happy with my latest sets on my foil and surfboard. Very comfortable, secure, and great jumping too. Perfect flex, no hard edges to rest your foot against. The safety and freedom of strapless with the security and high performance response of straps. I wish I had a way to mass produce and get them out to the riders but manufacturing is quite time consuming. I really believe more people would fall in love like I have.

EXCELLENT DESIGN AND WORK, THANKS FOR THE PHOTOS OF YOUR EXTENSIVE R+D! :thumb: :D
Would be very interesting to how many MKH (ManKiteHours) have been lost due to strap injury both while learning and jump landing!
That said, for other than racing and jumping strapless still feels "free" and just a tad safer than F hooks.
I am thinking of taking an older board and adding a rear foot hook, and mounting it like I do my front, a few cms wider than your comfortable stance width.
Hopefully one can fly strapless with stance just a little narrower than normal but be able to slide into both front and rear hooks for jumping and speed by making stance just a bit wider than normal.

I use the foot hooks the same way I use straps. Strapless you can only apply pressure down against the board . Straps and hooks allow you to pull up/ push down opposite foot to gain even more performance and control which I like for KBHF. I ride the foil with my feet in front and rear hooks full time until feet change during transition. However you can see on my wave board, I put the back hook in the position I want for actually surfing the wave, but the rest of the time I put my back foot more forward in the better upwind performance position.

I used PVC pipe. Heated and bent to shape. Then covered with footstrap

Dwight, I build boards too. That board you made breaks all the rules, and looks somehow right. The tailpad is crazy or inspired. And your pad pattern us laid out 90 degrees " wrong". What's the dimensions?

If my eyes are interpreting the shadows right, that pad is aligned correctly--I want the sharp edges of the diamonds facing the tail to stop feet sliding forward. My OR board has it laid out like that while my SS boards have them opposite... Feet slip forward in the SS boards...

Heat PVC with heat gun until it turns rubbery. Then you can form to any shape, hold it there, and lock-in shape by pouring water over it.

I flattened in vise, then bent, all while in rubber state.

FYI, Board uses Horue Tuttle foil with raked forward mast, so box is near rear of board.

I can't find any pvc pipe in Sweden. I think they outlawed it. Everything is abs, and quite small like 40mm dia, or 110 mm dia.
I tried making one out of a 9-10 mm polypropylene/polyethylene cutting board. It was too flexible.
Have to keep looking.
