Hydrofoil set ups to kite with existed long before the Naish 7ft sky pirate....

The notion that you think a 7ft surf board was the pinnacle of light air and upwind performance prior only to race boards does indecate some flawed ideas and testing

Here is an idea:

- a tuna

And not a humpback whale :)

Which one is faster? ;)

SPots already made a tuna.

You might be missing the point. Not a top speed experiment, but rather a stall point one. The complete other end of the spectrum. Might also be moot as we have wings that let us stay foiling at a virtual crawl, but there is always more to learn.

My attempt works great. Super slow lift off speeds, good for pumping, though I am not skilled at this. However, I don’t have an equal wing without bumps to compare.

I’m not sure I understand your goal, is it speed or stability or ??? Perhaps you can explain what problem you are trying to solve?

If I want to go slow and have loads of lift I would just use a Moses 790, if I want all round fun from 7knots to 25knots speed then I choose the 633/483 and now to get a bit of speed but maintain stability the 720/425 is what I’m using, 30knots and more will be possible with this setup and still foils raisiny at 10knots bottom end speed.

The goal is to get the flow to attach better, meaning lower stall speed for the same area, and a lot softer stall.
Should also help to avoid ventilation crashes.

Without cost on high end, or at least not noticeable.

Thus getting a more lively wing (can be smaller for same lowend) with much better handling, should work great in waves.
