It is an advanced wing so it maybe harder to ride for novice intermediate foilers.
I rode that foil last season briefly. I didn't find it difficult to ride.

Just received the JNJ hydrofoil, cost 450$ Total to my door, mast is solid pre peg carbon from looks at the mast base end, still need to glue the base on. Slapping the High proformance foil on a 4.8 LF rocket. Who cares about the board once out of the water, anyway the rocket is a good indestructible foil board, good size maybe a pound heaver than the Happy, but the foil makes up for the wt issue Carbon is much lighter than aluminum anyday.

As for RND its not rocket science! The tech has been out there for like 100.... years, adapting it to kiteboarding not so hard, and it was not the kite companys that did most of the RND, it was the KOOKs/amatuars board riders, the kite companys copied what they made.

Anyway I think this foil may ride better than my Homebuilt Frankin foil.

We all know almost all of the foils and most boards are made in chinas factorys, most by their design, IN BIG LOTS, which are stamped with whatever brand is buying the lot!

No I bet they'll be designed at the foreign companies and these are probably the Chinese companies capitalising designs they've been contacted to produce.

Arrived today (second hand):

Even tho advertised as carbon, I do not think it's carbon fiber. It might be some sort of new plastic with carbon.

Anyways, the mast is rock solid, wings as well. Looks indestructible, the only give away would be M6 bolts.

The board connection is a tuttle.

Just on time to compare with my DIY foil :)

Doesn't look like CF to me. Carbon powder impregnated maybe, but unless that's painted I can't see any hint of fibres.

Hello.

I want to buy this hydrofoil :

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/carbon- ... 03750.html

It's not the same as you , downunder, right ?

Do you think this foil is appropriate for someone like me how has never ride a foil ?

What about construction ? Mast is stiff ?

Thanks.

Yeah, JNJ

Very stiff, good price for the quality. Even better if ever decide to build my own wings, since no proprietary bs but just a simple connection, couple of bolts and that's it.

Mind you, I replaced all SS screws with a proper marine type. Do not trust china SS.
D.
