How about sitting down while on foil. Any tips or this?
I'm right at the point to try this and have watched the videos. I just need to actually try it.
I had an opportunity to take a video of how I sit down on the foil in flight, hope it helps...

cheers

hey Peter,

I'm still working on that...
My idea, is to go into rodeo and take it from there.
I have tried from both legs on the side, but since Im not gifted as a Chinese acrobat I give up on it.

It is possible to stand up again as you also see in the great video from ketos, even in flight, but haven't done it for long as a board without straps is much better here. You just have to do everything backwards feet by feet and stand up with the help of a lifting kite (do kind of a fake jump with the kite). But actually I always ride till I came to stand still as much easier and secure, relaxing.
Just trying to come back to sitting position from canery man which is already not that easy but getting better.

Very important factor is also material: Very pitch stable foil and a strut as long as you can get. I use a 110 cm with a nearly 10 cm thick board so sitting nearly 120 cm above the wing with a less than 170 cm body :D , so I have a lot of space for my short legs in between board and water surface. :D

Have once borrowed a 96 cm strut with a 2 cm board from a friend so just 98 cm and everything was a lot harder. Only thing was great, that the board was extremly big (ca. 150 x 50) so I was able to start even the caneri man from the ground which is also much easier than to turn into this position during flight. Also started the first caneri man tacks :D , first just on the ground, but in theory could as also a caneri man jibe work also during flight :D (for sure chance for a flying jibe is much higher as you need not roll around your back  ), got to try this in future, would be great, more relaxed than sitting can just be to completely lay down

@stefmoris: Nice music, fits great :thumb:

sitting down on a big board and/or a shorter mast make it very accessible to even entry-level foiler...
