Is there a limit to the number of times they'll replace them? Is it a one year warranty?

Oh no I just bought a set this past summer and still haven't used them yet, and they cost a fortune. I am not thrilled to know they are POSes. If I wanted something that was overpriced that I'd keep having to warranty I'd have bought myself a WOO.

I've been using mine since April (5c air and water) all season. Now I it's 15c air and water.
About 30 sessions. No problems what so ever. I think they are too big ( distance from board surface to underside of hook.)

Hey I made PVC foot hooks too. Did I post about them before or did someone else come up with the same idea? I put epoxy inside the bent part once it was shaped, to add some strength, glued on a bit of foam and wrapped with a windsurfer footstrap cover to make it comfy.

So slingshot have refunded the broken foot hook which is great, however the UK distributor are no longer bringing them in due to such a high warrenty rate.

I am therefore keen to make some myself, I really like the look of the examples above however if I wanted to make some similar to the slingshot ones, and then use the original slingshot neoprene sleeve over the top, is it simply a case of getting some 6mm perspex or acrylic, heating with a heat gun and bending accordingly?

Sorry I know this site is for kiteboarding and not materials engineering but thought I would ask on the of chance anyone can help!

Thanks all

Better the hook breaks than your foot though ;)

It's breaking from riding or jumping, people seems to break them jumping with them.
