I'd expect Moses to start selling leftovers of 548/550 wings ...
I do not think this is correct, wings are getting produced on demand and not to put them on the shelf.
The visual design also changed now for 2018, also for these wings. And I already received them in the new look.
By the way, the 558 is also a 2017 design. New now are only the 590 and the 637/420.
..
I might be wrong about phasing out 548/550. After all, as you said the 2016 560 became 2017 558 (and 545 for Slingshot) and is still available third year in a row. Just too many might be a bit confusing. And whatever is least popular of somewhat redundant wings and doesn't sell well anymore will probably be phased out naturally.

I agree, but same for the 550
...
The 590 I like a lot so far though. But not saying people should replace their 548s for it.
So in the end of the day a lot comes down to personal preferences.
...
Yes, the 558 is just a slightly changed 560.
The 560 was my main wing in 2016.
..
So did it go like below for Moses wings?
2016 line: the 560 wing is a great freeride wing, stable, not a race one, easier to ride
2017 line: the new 550 wing is even slower (than 558) freeride wing, earlier take-off, a bit more front foot push (than 558) at speed
2017 line: but the new 548 is even more slower freeride wing, better for heavier riders or allows to ride "one kite size down", the earliest take-off, a way more front foot push at speed
Who would be target market for 548 wing, but not for 590 in your opinion?
