Not unhappy. The forum is not a complaint line. Its a discussion about how foils operate and what their strengths and weaknesses are.... just feedback. Certainly feedback is critical to your product yes?

But could you/would you afford to pay for them?
The machining time would be huge, 50-60mm thick g10 would cost a lot more than 20mm, etc.
Curved g10 is possible but would be a custom product with its own large tooling costs.
It would make more sense to mold fiberglass or carbon wings in the first place.
I’d bet you could have a molded anhedral carbon wing for the price.
By the way, zeeko already does this, with glass and carbon, as you surely know.
It really does seem like you are trolling for the most part.

Did you measure any performance increase with your wing spackling? Aside from the reduction of noise? That would be a little more interesting to know about.

A relevant question would be why?

Flat wings work really well. There is at least a face value argument that they are looser with respect to Yaw. The way they have their alloy foils configured with a vert tail fin is pretty sweet imho. You can simply use any old tt fin and choose whatever size suits your preference.

Currently pretty happy with the carver wing and a small 3/4" tail fin. Super quality product that has exceeded all my expectations. Have no plans to change it out for carbon. There is sooooo much still to learn and enjoy.

From what I can gather. NYk is a Spitfire rider who just got the new XLW wings with AVS.
Used it, heard a whistle ( I believe the tune was “wish I was in the land of Dixie “), then filled in the AVS.

The really bad part of that is that yesterday while cruising out through reef to put back. I couldn’t get that stupid tune out of my head, and had to stop myself whistling it.

hahaha....its a bad song isnt it....being in NY Im a Union man when the next civil war happens....

Took the spitfire out yesterday in 25-30 knots on the original wings.....rather frightening...had to jump back on the alpine...

Anyhow, zeeko makes good foils, innovative. Anyone can get used to riding anything.

Just wondering why no one has come out with a G10 curved wing.

Basically G10 is a cheaper alternative to carbon, and stiffer than glass.
Unfortunately it only comes as standard in sheets, and is not the easiest thing to machine.

If you had to buy 80mm thick G10 to machine 80% of it away, it would be cheaper to build it in carbon.

Im sure they could epoxy a few thick sheets together at the ends and get around waste on the CNC.

Winglets like that wont necessarily work.

Can also give loads of parasitic drag at the connections and overall, besides the foil/winglets will break a lot easier.

And for sure, not make the vertical stab or bent stabilizer tips obsolete - maybe you actually would need a bigger stab if having winglets.
