I hope it leads to more racers and more regattas like it did last time! Even in the short amount of time that kiting was Olympic in 2012, the world championship had 150+ racers.
I don't know why so many people decided to start racing because of the Olympics, but I hope it happens again.

i enjoyed the early racing at this time, then started the arms race and i couldnt keep up on my equipment.. became a waste of time and then nearly everyone gave up. Thousands of aircraft carrier sizef kiteboards heading to the landfill!

Is your objection with the Olympics or that snow-kite-lawnchair-bowling-on-a-burro didn't get chosen as your preferred form of kitesport? Were you hoping for an airstyle Olympic medal or something? What is the deal dude, racing is fun to watch and it's never been faster since kites came around.
You're giving off the most anti-fun vibe I've ever run into on a forum like this.

This is his issue. It’s not fair, the bigger boys were faster, they had different gear etc etc.
You know what welcome to unrestricted racing as it was back then. hell, it happened to all of us, you either carried on and racedcat the level you were happy with or quit.
You(long white cloud) instead bottled they disapointment and instead now bitch that it’s not fair so why should others get to race.
Did you ever bother to look at participation before Olympic selection in 2012, the number that attended the worlds after selection and then the drop out after your blue blazer twats fucked it up and got the out vote?
No I didn’t think so as it would have shot you no participation thing out the air, the lure of Olympic pathway is far stronger than the ranting of the IFKO and you on social media.
All the sailing federations that turned up with their coach boats, gear , athletes converting from other classes etc.
They left when the class got booted not because you or the IFKO told them kite raceing isn’t part of sailing.
What was the IFKO doing back then? f*** all? What was Bruno doing back then? Counting his royalty cheques, not giving a shit about the Olympics.
His issue was when people stopped racing on LEI kites and saw his revenues drop.

The world will continue to spin, we will all continue to kite regardless of the olympic games.
You enjoy your racing.
Most dont prioritize the olympics like you do - World Sailing claiming it is the world authority of all kiteboarding on water produces huge conflicts of interest. Their loyalty is to their sailing stakeholders not kiters. A great number sailors ( blue blazer twats as you called them) involved dont even like kiting.
By kiters for kiters.
