Please help! I'm on my 30th pair of Slingshot and NSI foot hooks. Seriously. They last 5 sessions and then break at the same place every time. Tried everything - 1 bolt, metal clip on far bolt, etc. Doesn't help. Strapless and straps are great, but I love the intensity that comes while riding hooks.
Is there anything else out there?!

Yeah. Mine used to break all the time. I then started wrapping them tightly in black duct tape before installation with and haven't had an issue since.
NSI needs to use a higher grade plastic IMO.

Oh yeah?? Any chance you can show me a pic how you wrap? How many times do you wrap the hook on top and bottom?

I maded my own and after 15+ sessions they still work perfectly.
You need:
- PVC pipe
- Heat gun
- Wood strip
- Abrasive file
- Hacksaw
- Old wetsuit
- Driller
Process:
1. Cut pipe to the desired length
2. Heat pipe
3. Flatten pipe with wood strip
4. Heat again
5. Bend to desired hook shape (I use a different shape for front and back hooks)
6. File borders
7. Drill holes
8. Wrap hook with old wetsuit strips like if it was a tennis racket grip.
