Pulling the bar in with both hands and fly away from the board ..wear a helmet ..there's another topic on this and in summary if you cannot find a helmet you have been living under rock and cannot use something called Google

I've got to say that the best piece of advice is to not try & hang on when you're losing balance - pull off the board immediately. And don't look back at the board - if you're wearing a helmet keep your face away from the board, so if you do get hit it will hit the back of your helmet. Even when you're experienced, there's still the occasional unexpected, catastrophic crash. I hate those - where you land on top of the foil ... or you fall with the bar below you & the lines wrap either side of the foil.
