Can't understand from that goes such huge price- carbon wings mast and fuselage, say 1500 e, board 800-1000, batteries ok 500-800, motor something abot max 300 e. We have 3000-4000 euros maximum range. So why we have 10k euros final price? Can someone explain ?

I would hire one to try it.
same as a jet ski, 30 mins of hire time is all I need for an alternative buzz.
not the sit on type but the stand up one which is really good fun, (for a short time)

I hope someone just soups up scubajet with bigger motor, battery and mast mount...
I think even as is it should have enough juice to propel bigger wings.
Anyone with a couple of K and a roll of duct tape willing to try? :D :)

Hmmm, the feel must be amazing indeed, but I also think it will not last for long (could be wrong).

Just like jet-skis, almost noone are riding these here (not allowed in many spots either, thats why you never see one), and must get boring really fast, just like anything with a motor instead of using the waves and the wind where you get a totally different connection and challenge/play with the elements.

So tossing the kite would not make any sense, on the contrary

I see it like a Seqway on water somehow, fun yes but a short passtime - lets see how it goes though :naughty:

If they get the retractable propeller perfected then it becomes a legit sport for foiling waves (and 1.5-2x longer run times).

For flat water use, I'd say better than a PWC but worse than a stand up jetski.

Realistically though you could buy a PWC and foil surf behind it for more fun on flatwater.

Agree. But they also have to overcome the weight for proper wave foiling. Current weights are in the 30-35kg range I think.

Surprised that doesn't google better.
PWC = Personal Water Craft. Aka jetski/seadoo/waverunner/etc.

Actually since Kawasaki has finally come out with a decent 4 stroke stand up jetski and it's the same price, the only reason to buy a eFoil is if there are restrictions on your lake against getting a SX-R 400 as they are a the same price.

Why is the weight an issue? Sure the lighter the better but the biggest barrier by far to SUP foil surfing for the average person is fitness to paddle out and paddle on to waves. This completely throws that out the window.

Maybe foil jetski would be next big thing instead.
Hopefully something electric.

I love to kite but with ultra-light summer winds here in Midwest Is love something to fly above the mirrors.

As of Segway - I’ve had mine for 10+ years, about 1100 miles on odometer - it’s fun and I’d ride it more if not Onewheel :)
