Dwarfcraft 4’6” to Dwarfcraft 3’6”?

I’m currently riding a Dwarfcraft 4’6” with a Lift 150 foil. I’m riding strapped. I have the mast position so the back of the mast plate is at the 3cm marking.

I’m trying out a friend’s Dwarfcraft 3’6” tomorrow. The mast plate markings on the 3’6” are at different locations relative to the back of the board and I can’t really tell where I should set the mast so I have approximately the same amount of lift. It looks to me like the back of the mast plate needs to be at like the 8cm setting or so, but that seems like it can’t possibly be right.

Does anyone have experience with this? Where should I set the mast so I have the same lift? Obviously, I’ll take a screwdriver out to the beach to make any adjustments, but I’d love some guidance if anyone has dealt with this.

Thanks in advance.

Place your assembled setup and align it with 3’6” board upper deck to upper deck to match position.
Or you can measure/match length from back end of the board to the back edge of the mast plate.
I’d say you’re probably standing with your back foot above rear mast plate bolt, it’ll take just couple of starts and tacks to adjust feet position and then you’d move the mast if there’s not enough or too much of back foot pressure.

Some might think that riding strapless allows you to stand anywhere which is technically true, but your feet kind of like that sweet spot they’re used to :)

I switched from 4’6” to 3’6” long time ago and I’m never going back except occasionally I try others’ foils with different boards than mine

I would advise starting with the 150 plate all the way back. Adjust forward if needed.

Thanks for the recommendations. I put the foil at the 3cm mark, which is actually much closer to the back of the board than the 3cm mark on the 4’6”. Even though the stance with straps is narrower, it required more back foot pressure, but not so much more that I bothered to change it.

Also, I absolutely loved it. Riding a smaller board is so much fun.

Also riding 3’6 majority of time now, so much fun! Only using my Alien Air for very light winds.
