Hi all
Had a grounding the other day, the foil was ripped out the mounts and the board is now toast and beyond repair I reckon. (Slingshot Hoverglide + dwarfcraft)
Have a 2014 North Nugget gathering dust after learning to foil. Instead of buying another board I would like to convert the nugget. So my question is, has anybody turned their nugget into a foilboard? Next question, are those stick on foil mounts up to the job?
Appreciate any recommendations or idea, besides dont run aground

I had tracks installed into a Sector that was also not be used.
It can be helpful in really light winds with the extra size, but currently back into the garage corner.

I made my first foilboard from a nugget. It's the best lightwind foilboard I've tried. I miss it big time.

I haven't done it but there was a discussion about it on the kiteforrum.ca it's in french but you can see the pictures. They modified the board no sticky thing but apparently it works great as a foil board and you can still use it a as a surf when traveling.
Sounds great to me if I could get a Nugget for a good price I would do it!

A lot of people over here converted the nugget and similar boards (such as the space pickle) to foil decks. It works well. You need to reinforce the board around the box for the foil mast, though.

I converted a space pickle. 2 hour job and I still lend it out for people to start on as super easy but feels big and heavy in air transitions.
a friend and I drilled and filled and then drilled again. Few layers of glass underneath to reinforce around the foil mount.
I some times travel with it as can use in small surf.
The other option is the Remora foil mount. That I have used on a number of boards.
The advantage of the remora is no drilling and easy in and out of the car.
Will
Post pictures.
