You’re welcome
I wanted 420 when I got 695 (pre-800 sized-up-548 and still cheaper alternative to 800) and race stabilizers became a must for me since then. I have my doubts about stabilizers without winglets as they felt less yaw stable
But yes, thin, larger area, high aspect stabilizers kick butt!

And to repeat what has been said endless times: bring back rhe 425 and introduce its larger version (yet thinner than 483/450) for huge wings. Those would be two major stabilizers ever needed

I'm just starting to use the Moses 679/710 super-fuse/483 combo for lighter wind kite foiling in flatter (soundside OBX) conditions. Having switched from the heavy (but still good) Slingshot H2 wing, I'm loving the Moses setup. The 679 seems to be a great wing for my size/level.
If I want more stability from the 679 (for learning foot switches and tacks), should I move the stabilizer forward or rearward on the super-fuse? I've been using the 483 all the way to the rear and without shims.
I also have a 330 stabilizer. Would that work with the 679 and, if so, with what result? Thanks for the feedback.

330 would feel kind of flimsy with 679 and you’ll have a feeling of higher lowend.
To increase stability you can shim your 483 pointing down using 1mm washer, you can use 450 stabilizer which adds to stability, you can swing by Rodanthe next couple of weeks while I’m there and demo 310 surf stabilizer which I believe is better than 450. And we can have a cold one too.

679/330 and 633/425 are great, faster then when on bigstabs and most important very well balanced (no shims)

That’s because 483-450 are thick as thick. Proper stabs don’t need to have all the thickness.
450 needs shim badly, I have no idea why Moses pointed it so much downward

improvements now delivered¬
I had been told 3 months back a new improved 710 fuse was coming out to fix the issue of the black anodising which was breaking down around the edges and other surfaces mainly near the fatter front end and under the wing area where the front wing mates with the fuse, I had 2 replaced under warranty last year, well this new fuse was in my new wing set delivered yesterday, it looks matt black all over not glossy like the old one, and the surface is much smoother, a much deeper anodisation process has been used, so all good.
and in the tool kit of screws for the 633 wing set they have added 3 rear stab shims, 3 thickness choices, so that's new as well.

Good to hear they're improving things still. Any noticeable difference or upgrades with the new wings?

How long is the warranty for the fuse? Same corrosion thing happening to me..
