That's how it should be, right? The carbon cloth is what provides the strength to the material. A bunch of extra resin around it makes it heavier without making it stronger.
What’s a good filler to patch the small deeper cuts and gashes? Now that I won’t be in the water for a little bit, I’d like to do a tune up on my front wing.
I've been using Solarez which works well for small things and is pretty easy to work with as long as you have a source of UV light (which is easy ion the summer but can be a challenge in the winter if you don't want to buy special lights). Pretty much any epoxy will work, but many of them dry yellow or brownish, which doesn't look good if you're not painting it. West Systems for instance makes good marine epoxy but I wouldn't use it here because it dries a brownish color. Resin Research makes a nice two-part clear epoxy, but it might be hard to find in small quantities.

Best approach is to buy a small quantity of laminating epoxy. Get as little as you can. It will age and go bad. And some glass fiber powder. Mix that to mayo consistency and apply it to area carefully with a popsicle stick. Let it cure over night and use a File to smooth it down, then some wet sanding to smooth out.
Spray some rattle can black paint on it if you want to hide it.
At the building store here they sell this stick of epoxy puddy you knead together. It works.
Good travel repair..

How in the world people are supposed to distinguish 633 wings?

What do you mean? There is only one 633 wing.

The “surf 633” I got in January is about 200 grams heavier than “kite 633” I just got. Just wing itself.
I thought as well there’s only one 633 wing, and I’ve been puzzled since I found out otherwise.

Officially there is only the Surf 633. There is no Kite Specific lighter 633. It can be that they changed the layup to reduce weight, but they did so on all products with the 633 wing.

I think they have a sprayed clear coat on them.
For sure foil wings get scratched and banged up. Ive been repairing mine and friends wings.
Old LF, nearer Lf Impulse and and my moses.
If they could figure out a more durable finish... But I think we are looking for a miracle...
Soon , soon.... when they figure how to produce graphene, miracle will occur...
