Hello,

Long time axis rider here under a kite (HPS700), I am not a big speed kiter, I like to play and carve on wind swell with UFOs and Hyperlink for light wind.

After reading many good things about the 800, I got a 740 paired with a 376 stab on a FK647.

However I was a bit disappointed that set-up isn't as playful as my axis, it also requires more speed to get going.

My question is, is there a more playful front wing that would suit? Or should I change stabs? I'm a bit overwhelmed with the Sabfoil range. I'm 79kg.

I read many good things about the 695 but reading here, many people seem to prefer the 800 over it. Happy to try a 800 though.

Thanks

Your HPS 700 is 890cm² wing which is a decent area for your weight. The 740 SABfoil is only 704cm² and it’s a rather thin race wing. that axis wing is bigger and would have lower end.

Both 740 and 800 wings are relatively high aspect so they have good glide and roll stability, yet less playful than lower aspect wings.

695 is 770cm² and would have a tad better freeride performance compared to 740. You can also try RDB 730 or 860 (numbers indicate area for throes) which are thicker and have awesome lift.

For all you Moses Gen 1 foilers, Triton Foils is offering a free adapter with every T1 monowing purchase while supplies last. Have it all and play on your 633 and your monowing. We don't have a lot, so I expect them to go pretty fast.

I’d say SABfoil committed seppuku with Kraken system. No one was looking for brick heavy masts and incompatible new system.

Not out of honor - out of lack of consideration. What are you all guys converting to? F-one?

I hope that someone familiar with F One answers. I just went to their website for the first time after seeing your post. I saw 5 front wings. But no info on stabs. Then as I read a bit more, more stabs appeared underneath. And then I found 3 fuses. Maybe someone has a chart showing all the uses? It was confusing. Like Sabfoil. And are they lightweight?

They look pretty decent and lightweight. Looking at the groms
at gorge cruise on F-One that would likely be my next foil if I had to get a new setup now. In the meantime Axis picked up well too but I hope my current setup will last few more years before I have to make a choice

Northkb now has a bunch of foil stuff including a whole range of front/back wings. All compatible with aluminum and carbon masts and fuselages.

Anyone tried the new Razor wings, the 730 Onda or 835 onda for kitefoil?

These look like a nice replacement of 679!

I’m curious about this too. Someone on the SABFoil FB group who asked about the 730 for kiting when it was first announced and there was a SABFoil guy who replied something like it was designed for surfing. Basically, a non-answer. I don’t see why it couldn’t be used for kiting.
