Hi grigorib,
Are you able to comment on the difference between riding the 450 and the 483 stabilizers with the 683S?

Apart from the less pointy wing tips, was there any other reason for going with the 450?
I liked how 450 is more compact and I was hoping less pointy winglets would add to durability.
Plus, it’s a new year wing, why not give it a try :)

As soon as compare them side by side I’ll share my feedback.

I had a very interesting conversation with a direct contact of an industry insider this week, when I was asking him about the confusing reasons moses had brought out the 450 rear wing and shorter fuselage,
during a trip to the moses factory ...
Would you share what you learnt?
..
Apparently the aluminium foil set up sent out as a demo set up will differ from the production product which will have all interchangeable parts so people can upgrade easily.
I hope Moses can keep up great job of modular build they design. Today any of their masts - be it tuttle or plate, of any length could be used for any fuselage. There was a 2017 minor slip in making windsurf/surf wings different but guys recovered from that.
Better modular system lets users pick and choose components for their foil build and will streamline production allowing manufacturing more gear faster. Not speaking of warehouse/stock relief to manufacturer. For folks who travel the modular system is quite valuable too. I hope aluminum Moses masts will be compatible with carbon.

Alternatively though,
One doesn't want to be in patent licencing battle and pay Liquid Force money for selling aluminum masts.
If I was Moses I'd be machining mast adapter conversion kits for most widespread aluminum masts on the market - Slingshot/Cloud9/LF/Cabrinha. Carbon masts are luxury items, not everyone chooses those. So let people fly Moses wings and piggyback on their legacy aluminum mast. Another way/bet would be to produce fuselages with flat, flush top surface and a set of holes to mount onto most widespread aluminum hole spacing.

Being a major foil manufacturer - is it really a noble thing to make business in painting and labeling extruded aluminum? Let others do it and maybe live happier life in a world of CNC and carbon :)

I'm willing to pay a little more to get a nice black alu mast with the Moses logo so it matches my wings and fuselage. That Said, they should make an adapter too.

lets see just what Moses are able to offer,
if no adaptor is available from moses then if I am right there are 2 adaptors being made right now(I have one of them)
the one from Huston kiteboarding who market the stick on foil mount, the adaptor is superb, but-
stringfellow again in the states, makes the same mast adaptor (slingshot to moses) only it looks even neater.
anybody else? :thumb:

We are today the biggest hydrofoil company in the world
It's hard to deny.
Glad that Moses HF has predicted the coming revolution many years ago - well ahead of big names.
And this is what I appreciate so much.
It was surprising and interesting that a small Italian company became the leader setting the standards nowadays.
I find one explanation: Moses people always have been believers.

Personally I have great memories with this company and people.
Remember so well my first contact with Ruben to convince him to take an old guy from Poland on board as a teamrider hahaha.
Those days there was only Silente on their offer. One mast and two front wings.

This is my short summary of last 7 years with these hydrofoils:

The end of of hymn of praise... :bye:

Tucker from MACKite suggested an angle grinder on the Foilmount adapter to make it more hydrodynamic.

It's really great to have a company that believes in and invests in local design and production, one that engages with it's users and provides service and assistance quickly. It's these kind of companies that are creating sustainable business opportunity and future.
Please keep going this way!

So I rode with 450 and 710 yesterday. However it was far from side by side comparison - I had 105cm mast instead of 91cm (and it mounts slightly different position) and besides that 710 instead of 749 and 450 instead of 483.

Rode just fine and had great fun (as usual). One thing I noticed for sure was that I needed to stand forward by couple of inches compared to 749/483/91

I’m going back to OBX next Friday and will certainly be riding 91cm mast, and will try to substitute one component at a time and share my feedback.

well . . . that is the opposite of what I had hoped.

I am already 2" forward of where I used to ride before I changed to the new Moses rig . . . 683/483/91/710 so may not bother with 450 if it means 2" further forward again.
