Can someone explain the structural/riding difference between 72cm mast and 72cm C40 please?

Sounds the C40 has some glass fiber replacing carbon. If so, do they have comparable stiffness and weight?

I asked the shop the same question. I believe there is a v small weight difference (perhaps about 200g?). And apparently a negligible stiffness difference.

I will weigh my new 72cm C40 when I get chance

That W480 looks tiny! And that S470 seems to be a larger S400 ? Interesting, both prototypes ? I haven't ridden the S400 yet, I assume it carves better than the straight ones ? (421/425 ?)

I have been riding my W800, initially with S421, then S425. On 91 mast and 111 mast.
I think it is a great wing for my 100kg – the do it all wing. The low end is pretty good, more so with the 425 over the 421. At the same time it feels fast, sporty and very efficient. Riding some ocean swell back into shore requires minimum kite power, it pumps really well.

One problem I see though is that the W800 wing tip is razor sharp and thin. If one were to fall onto this wing the injuries could be massive. Me and a mate were banging our hands lightly on our various wing tips in the garage the other day and the difference between this one and others (695, 558) was distinct. I wonder how much it would affect the performance if one were to blunt the wing tip a bit.
I cut my foot on the S483 once, 7 stitches! (and weeks off the water).

Falling over the edge off the board towards the foil has never been more dangerous :o :(
In that respect I like the 111 mast – foil seems to be a bit further away.

For me the 425 is without a doubt the best Moses stabilizer I ever tried. I haven’t tried the 400 yet nor 325 and 380 early race stabilizers.

I could get 420 close to 425 feeling by shimming it down. Worth trying
