Grigory speaks the truth. It is in our collective interest to have SS, Moses, Cabrinha etc etc etc pushing each other to innovate and improve. I live in Hood River and like many here, support our local brand. That said, the LAST thing I want is for any brand to dominate the market. Innovation suffers, prices go up, and we lose.

Moses makes beautiful stuff, and yes SS has/had a big hand in that. It will be great to see SS make their own gear moving forward, and see how other innovators respond.

We win

Talking of which ... what happening with LP? They don't seem to have come up with anything new for a long time. Are they abandoning the biz?

How recently did they split Gonzolinho?

Im wondering if this is the reason we haven't heard much of the Alu Moses? Julien Kerneur had one on his IG a while back and said they were taking pre-orders for April :?:

I had a very interesting conversation with a direct contact of an industry insider this week, when I was asking him about the confusing reasons moses had brought out the 450 rear wing and shorter fuselage,
during a trip to the moses factory ...
Would you share what you learnt?

It was great to cooperate and share ideas with such a experienced and innovative designer like Mr. Logosz
anyway
Moses designs and develops hydrofoils since 2008, WAY before all big brands and way before almost the totality of the "only" hydrofoil brands.

We are today the biggest hydrofoil company in the world

We are able to design and produce aircraft with an exclusive design, for example the 2 models in the photo fly up to 400 km of speed and I'm sure we , as Moses, have no difficulty thanks to 11 years of experience in the hydrofoil design and thanks to the 2 designers who works inside ou company to maintain leadership in both design and construction of Hydrofoil.

It wasn't me who went to the factory, so facts may not be 100% in line with the original moses words.
One story was very interesting as carbon cloth cuts for the masts are cut by hand not machine as the machine is not as good as the skilled operators (2 ladies with scissors) very sharp scissors as they blunt easily cutting the carbon, the story is the machines can pull threads of carbon fibres during the cutting and this ruins the job, the staff have to be extra careful to avoid this,
I was told that the 91 cm mast comprises of 150 cuts of material, whilst the 101 mast 200 cuts, sounds crazy.
i was wondering if they meant 15 cuts and 20 cuts, as so many sounds silly.
Apparently the aluminium foil set up sent out as a demo set up will differ from the production product which will have all interchangeable parts so people can upgrade easily.

...450 wingtips are pointed up and are less pointy so there'll be less chance of wingtip damage (which 483 occasionally gets)...

...I will certainly be riding 683s/710/450 but I wish it was flawless and if someone had looked at it more critically - we'd have a perfect set.
Hi grigorib,
Are you able to comment on the difference between riding the 450 and the 483 stabilizers with the 683S?

Apart from the less pointy wing tips, was there any other reason for going with the 450?
