I guess I can just use the bolts from my 590, they sent it with 2 short screws and 1 long, that's also what they list on the website, idk.

yeah I figured, well I'll have to learn to live with that I guess. I don't think I'll have an extra $1000 for another mast any time soon :D

I used same bolts for 695 and 800 I used for 590. Yet 637 needs all three to be 20mm

I solved this problem through brute force:

Lol, nothing like a tackle box full of hardware to bring along to the beach! :D

In my opinion, for a company selling IKA registered whatever they should either design the wings to be consistent/use the same length screw for all 3 holes, or provide at least a one pager on how assemble each wing if each one has to have specific screw lengths and placement. The sticker on the bottom of my 590 makes sense too, but like I said, the 800 didn't come with that.

Lack of business competitors does that

Speeds? Really, no idea. With the 1000 I stay alongside windsurfers who are going as fast as they can. But I can point a lot higher w/the foil (I'm talking non-foiling windsurfers).

But I'm a slow it down kinda guy, stay with and ride the swell. The 1000 is also super good at that!
Which stabilizer do you use with the W1000?

Thanks!
I used the 425, 420, 421 and 330. I didn't find much difference in any of them on the 1000. But they all are fairly small, and small differences were just small and not worth the effort of one over the other.
Have you already tried w1000 with s400? Found it very difficult winging with this set to get enough speed to pop on foil.. but maybe my gong lemon 5’2 is too wide which gives too much drag.. Perhaps another stab like the s330?

Hmmm. For all intents and purposes I do not find the stab contributes to getting on foil, but rather affects the character of the ride.

I have found technique for getting on foil is huge when winging while being lightly powered to underpowered, not so much when powered to overpowered. So, I wouldn't look for a solution in another stab, but possibly technique or a bigger wing. I see you have the 3.5 and 6m swings. That is a big swing! I assume you were on your 6m?

I found the w1000 to be one of the earliest on foil of all foils I tried, so I'd consider another solution rather than different stab.
