BraCuru your videos are stunning. Thank you for sharing.
Your a star BaraCura, amazing compelling viewing.
But I fear the cost for us 2 would be too expensive.
Now we are both retired we are looking for places where we can afford to go and stay for 3-4 months of the year,
In short bursts of 3 weeks at a time,
Pauline my wife loves being involved on the beach launching landing setting up the gear, and watching the newbies close up which she finds entertaining, so beach loungers are important, a loo nearby is a bonus, as is a beach bar for all day refreshments.
For me my needs are simple,
low cost air travel,
Low cost car hire,or no need of car.
Clean quality accommodation,
Great value local food.
Great friendly locals who like a natter.
Safe with deep water rescue.
Reliable wind, in the low range mostly.
Varied conditions with rolling swells.and flat, or short chop.
Easy to get to alternative beaches for a change of scene.
Keeping Pauline happy.so the first points need to be there.
The cost for 3 weeks including spends all in,including everything from my house back to my house ,needs to be no more than 3200 Euro for the 3 weeks.
This contrasts so differently to when we both used to work and get only 3 weeks away each year and we would spend any amount no matter the cost.

Our best finds to fit our budget and needs are-
Fuerteventura, Flag beach mostly, with trips to Matas bay and Sotavento, from November to May.
Italy, Lake Como in late summer Late August to mid September, north end of the lake launching from Colico or Gera Lario.
Hoping Egypt will become more accessible (affordable) as Colana water sports in Hurgarda or wonderfull Dahab would be another destinations we would love to return to, but complicated and expensive air travel makes this too costly at the moment.

in 7 days how many days are you getting out on the water in the Maldives?
I spent 40 days there in January and February.
Only one day was not foilable. Bear in mind that last two years I took only two inflatable kites: Cabrinha Apollo 10 & 7m.
However I used my Hover board which is designed for ultra low winds.
Having Soul 12 or 15m it would be 40 of 40 days.

But it was just beautiful.
And winds should be just fine for foiling 👍🏻
November is not the best month. Your were lucky indeed.
January and February are more predictable.
Wind stats indicate that March, April and November are the worst months.
May and October seems to be the best.

Whenever windguru shows 12kts+ it should blow nice steady 15kts - I used to use 7m inflatable.
Any forecast below 11kts - I used 10m inflatable.

Prices for staying on local islands - starts from 80USD for a couple including halfboard.
I assume that it could be lower if you plan to stay longer.
low cost air travel,
Not cheap - starting from 500€
Low cost car hire,or no need of car.
There are usually 2-3 working cars on an island. For sure no rental ;)
Clean quality accommodation,
You shouldn't be disappointed.
Great value local food.
food is average in first week and poor in second one.
Great friendly locals who like a natter.
Locals are kind and helpful.
Safe with deep water rescue.
No problem with a rescue. Couple of times I was drifting for away from a reef. 10-30mins and I was picked up by a passing boat. A lot of them.
Reliable wind, in the low range mostly.
Perfect.
Varied conditions with rolling swells.and flat, or short chop.
Whatever you wish.
Easy to get to alternative beaches for a change of scene.
Imagination is your limit ;)
Keeping Pauline happy.so the first points need to be there.
She should be happy.

It is doable. Most important is to find cheap flights from Europe. The cheapest one we paid 470€ but it is possible to find for 400€ too.
This year we pay 750€.

Wow, that's less expensive than I thought it'd be. I always heard that the Maldives were super expensive. Still, flights from the US wouldn't be cheap.

Along the coast of Brazil.

Great winds, warm.

Eg Cumbuco gets deep quickly (besides the main spot which is packed anyway). Waves not that great.
But along the coast you will find several spots with waves. Eg Taiba gets sweet waves and is also deep.

Best waves November til March, wind for foiling is good til February. That’s for the NE of Brazil. The main kite area of Brazil.

But also further south along the coast you have thousands km of kite beaches.

Check on https://se.kiteforum.com/spots
Would agree here many many foil spots in NE Brasil especially Ceara pretty much can foil all year on light rain seasons, consistant wind in the season 6m-8m my go to foiling kites at 225lbs,off/rain season 10m-12m usually.N ground swell season nov-march with usually always some mix of wind swell all year depending on location.Central Calif, bay area right up there for foiling but not as consistent winds as NE brasil

Hmmmmm..... For me it would be big lazy waves/swell in deep water, sandy bottom with an easy beach launch around the corner. Flat entertains me for half an hour. I want the sea with shape.

I have the big waves/swell occasionally here. But not the sandy bottom and sometimes not the easy launch.

Maldives looks nice for a holiday, reminds me of fiji.

Have look on Montenegro spot Ulcinj - (velika plaza) Season June- September. Warm, wind range 10 to 25 knots, thermal side on shore. Lots of beach bars, places to visit in no wind day. Cheep flights to 4 airports that are less then 3 hours away (Dubrovnik, Tirana, Podgorica and Tivat). Deep water after 50 meters, very safe. Use of beach with boat rescue, storage, fresh water is 10 euro a day. If you need more info send me a message.
