Yes. 15 kg /1 lb foam is the culprit.
You get better durability results with 1.5 and 2 lb foams. SUPs and firewires have the 1 lb foam inside, most good surfboards that are built to last use 1.9-2 lb., tow surf boards use 3 lb.
The penalty is weight, for example 300 g heavier core for a 20 L board.
But light is nice, too. There is always a compromise somewhere.

Upon closer inspection I noticed the area of delamination is the skin (pvc ?) from the layer underneath it. It separates 1-2 mm and seems to be only in 10-15 cm circular area around mast tracks toward the forward end.

The screws and t nuts have not damaged the tracks in any way.

The board is green and I’m pretty meticulous about sun and heat exposure.

Also, the scoop is so spot on that touch downs (and board sinking) are so well supported. It makes learning these much easier.
I may get a small one, but I’m reluctant to go black.

Odd they say the EPS thickest part is 10cm when depending on the model up to 5cm total. With 2x 3mm pvc skins the EPS would be over 4cm. I suspect they use something like this.
That is a mistake. The text has been cut and pasted from the Raceboards.

The Skateboards all have a 3mm Closed Cell Foam on the Deck and Hull . Have a look at this picture.

You should contact the builder. I'm sure they want to know about it and it will help them improve. Considering the amount of boards they build and very few complaints, sounds like they are doing it right.
A delamination is not something you want to live with. Needs to be fixed.

Love the look of these boards. In general where do there or any foilboards fail?
Not so much the heat issue but mast stress to the board. I assume its right to the front of the mast inserts as a cantilever.

Note that the text: Polystirene core (the thickest part of 10cm) 15kg cm2" is on all Foilboard Models. There is no skate with 10cm thickness.

There is a minor mistake in the spec of the skate on their website, it conflicts slightly with the Email details that they sent to me to read and then decide which spec I wanted before I confirmed the order, which I did for my 120 full carbon naked, the gold stripe one in the photo above which has some conflicting details alongside it which do not match the email details they sent me, which are more detailed and less confusing, so I think there are some cut paste errors on their web pages,

This is in line with the errors I have found on the Moses web site, that really stressed me out earlier this week when my order for the 683 wing set with fuse was delivered,
I think we have to be extra aware that many websites outside our own language areas will possibly contain many errors that are not intended to deceive, but are however very confusing and perhaps need to be proof read and sense checked by external experts in the language and subject and get them to clean up the content and remove any ambiguous content.
And there lies a big problem in itself.

I don’t understand the differences in the build techniques. I started this topic because I wanted to get a naked carbon (mostly black) groove board and I don’t hear anyone telling me it is a bad idea (as long as I use some common sense about heat and sun exposure). Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks everyone for your input.

Does the groove have a concave deck? I’m thinking about buying a S.
