No jelly fish nets, but a few fishing nets, but not in the best kite locations.Getting into foiling as we get a lot of wind in the 8-16 kts range particularly when it's hot (even in Feb we had 20c many days.Med is only 5mins away so good option for surfboard when it is windy (this wednesday 25+) So summer hydrofoil, winter surfboard, the latter hopefully useful skill transfer eg gybing/tacking
Sorry to change the subject of your thread for a moment,
I drove past Mar Menor on holiday and wondered why it wasn't a famous kitesurf spot. I guessed it was a lack of wind or something. That wind sounds like it would suit a 17m Cloud and a 58cm wide Slayer V2.
Is this a good representation of the wind pattern for the year?

I would want to use accomodation near a kite centre so I didn't have to hire a car or leave anything on the beach. Are there any other problems that I might meet?
Thanks for any advice.

I was there in june many years back and the water was full, not one every now and then, but full of jellyfish, it gave me nightmares for the 2 weeks I was there, one day I hired a catamaran, and went out going as fast as possible to chop up as many of the buggers as possible.
I do remember that the water was mainly shallow near shore but deep away from shore, there are some decent size yachts sailing from the large sailing club there.
massive sailing area, should be great for foils outside jelly season.
