I was on flag beach recently - there was ozone team to shoot HL V2 and alpha. A lot of people fly alphas on beach also. From what i saw it doesnt flap much - much less than other monos. But if you insist on completely noise free kite than any mono will fail on you. Even my Neos and many other 3-struts can flutter in certain turns. If you want completely noise free kite get HL - in my book anything bigger in LEI format than 7-8 - /for big wing foiling/ is useless . 0-12 knts is foil kite territory. HL V2 - looks super nice. Freeride foil kite till 10-12 knts are now better in anything that matter relaunch, hang, drift, stability and even turning speed - if you compare comparable powerwise f.e. HL 7m vs 9-10m LEI - 7 HL is quicker especialy with low line load.

There is no Mono LEI that does not flutter. Gusty situations will make it worse.

+1 for what Tomtom said. New freeride foils are just too good to be ignored and are superior in almost every aspect in that lower wind range.

PS Brace yourself, PMU incoming.

TomTom- interested in what you saw of HL2 - especially in the bigger sizes.

They use new "flysurfer" fabric - i.e. very light and very water and air tight. At least it looks like that. New normal is supposed to be lighter than V1 UL. There wasnt UL yet. New 13 - flyes and turns faster than last year 12 /that was everybody rave about/. I just briefly flyed 9 back to back with my FSR 9 on beach. They turn and feels very similar - /FSR is fastest turning foil I know/ They looks in bigger sizes more hi aspect than V1. I dont ride it on water - was too shy to ask :). But from what i saw they are dream kites. As i stated many times i dont like Soul. They are to powerfull and spikey for freeride HF for me. New HL /and suppose older too/ are nothing like that. For me it is nobrainer kite... Guy from ozone team purposely crash them many times and restart them in condition where no tube has even a chance to restart - low onshore wind a waves pushing you towards shore.
