I think like all things when sales drop. There is hardly any difference in C kites since 2005 lol. Hard to have a market when the choice of years is so wide.

I would be very happy to hear from anyone who is actually riding with these wings.

I'm looking for recommendations on equipment for a 165 lb (75 kg) very experienced hydrofoil rider for use in winds from 10 to 20 knots and mostly flat water.

4m or 5m wing?
1500 or 2000 cm front wing?
95 or 115 litre board?
and any other equipment tips?

;-) CG

5m would be good and you can adjust the boom to be more or less power. The wing is easy. The hydrofoil is the hard thing to get sorted out. The more volume(130l) is easier to learn on, but you quickly will be able to go to a smaller board (100-80l). If you want to go downwind then having a board to stand on, if the wind is light is key. They are making short boards special for this. The 2000sqcm is easier to get flying on than 1500 but depends on your pumping and skill level. Most men 175lb-200 I know are expert SUP foil riders are riding a 1500 when it’s more windy and 2000 when it’s lighter wind. I ride a 2000sqcm 125lb female. 75cm-90cm mast is good for advanced rider. A long 80cm fuselage gives good stability upwind and downwind.

Yes yes, this is not as fast or jumps like kitesurfing and it really shouldn’t be in a kiteforum, and it’s not for lots of the frequent snarky posters. You don’t have to stop kiting. I won’t stop kiting in waves.

Thanks very much jfoil (I just realized that you are probably Julie S from Maui :D ..I have been following your facebook posts and find them most informative.)

I'm looking forward to picking up this new toy when they get stock in the Gorge in July. It looks like fun. I'll report here on my experience.

 CG

if not in a kiteforum, then where? don't bother to kowtow to the 'snarky posters'. this thing is a kite, and your arms are the lines. if some people don't get it or think it's ridiculous, then i'm not sure why they spend so much time looking at this thread. like you implied, it's not meant to replace kiting in any way, but is rather just a new option in that realm. and p.s., thanks for the useful info in your post, there's not been a lot of it otherwise.
