Pretty much spot on Mossy. If the AV8 is as stiff as you say, then it should be a great foil at a decent price. Finally got back on my Moses Comet yesterday for the first time in a while after having been forced to ride alu (my son has been bogarting the Comet). So nice to be on a super stiff and quick foil even for just cruising around.

I'm interested in that. Any more info?
A friend of mine spotted these photos few days ago in FB and downloaded them. Now he said they're no longer there.

The true spirit of racing is not just in the race but in the preparation and planning and a host of other factors that makes it a race of fitness tactics strategy and intelligence as well as just equipment.
All race classes based on rules declared to “keep down costs” invariably favour the team with most money.
Once the teams work out that lines stretch, kites bag out and a brand new foil goes faster than a used one or a out of box foil can go faster if it is 3D scanned for the slightest imperfection and rectifying can be done but at a high price.
Plus the company will have to upgrade the gear each year for the “market “

If you want to Race it will cost.
If you can get a supplier to give you gear then it will cost less.
If there are a lot of suppliers wanting to show their products via Racing then it gets even cheaper.
