Just testing both 2 minutes the same day with 330 rear wing very similar to me. They say 590 is early planning perhaps with light wind.

I swear my foot changes are a hundred times slower :o I think of you're not lofting the board and using the sink, you gotta be fast.

Also amazed at how badly placed your feet can be and still keep foiling

Update on progress:

I borrowed the 683 wing from a dealer whilst my new 683s setup is on order. Had 2 x sessions on my wife's Liquid Force foil and 2 x on the 683s wing. Cranking out toeside turns 100% now without touchdown. Still patchy on foot swaps before or after the gibe. It's really helping me get the right kite and body movements to do a smooth carving turn and keep the lines tensioned throughout the downloop.

Went out yesterday and swapped Moses foils with a mate who has the 550 wing. I had a tough time doing gibes on his smaller wing, so the bigger wing is definitely making a difference and I haven't been able to build enough prowess yet to drop back to a small wing.

My friend loved the 683S and was instantly looking way more confident in his transitions.

My new dilemma is that I will probably need a smaller foil kite to go with the new wing as it is so efficient in light wind.

I think I've watched that little vid about 100 times and I am still fascinated by the foot switch. Surely that will be me one day (yeah )

Good to hear your update. Even though you found it difficult, sounds like you have improved a bit on the 550, no?
My flying foot switches went out the window last session, didn't manage to nail one with the board fully off the water. Don't really know why... One of those days... :?:
