If having a lot of pressure on your back foot, then move mast forward, if pressure is on your front foot then move straps all the way forward.

I think once I was up and riding reliably, but before I could transition at all, it was basically a half hour to 45 min and I was done. Legs, glutes, and core tensed like hell plus the level of concentration for that long was exhausting. You'll settle in a bit better once you drop that front hook. Loosen up and find a narrower more balanced stance. Then it's just falling in every time you want to turn around that sapps the energy. Once the jibe starts happening, There is a round two of the leg burn. It's that period of time like Slappysan describes of no foot switches where you realize you gotta learn it cause your back leg gets so burnt only switching when you fall.....or falling when your switch.... their both kinda the same for a while! When the foot switching finally kicks in, it all gets pretty cush. Unless your blasting like a racer.... that stuff looks painful.
Good summary. Takes some time. I was completely knackered after an hour first year. Second year I learned my stance and now into 3rd year and very relaxed. Also had progression like above. I'm not a fast learner and soon 60 yrs. I do ride a bicycle in off season and do core exercises to not lose core strength.

To decrease leg burn look at your legs work. Both legs should be bent at the same angle on average.
You can help a bit changing board trim angle in relation to the foil axis.
If front leg bents/burns more, put a washer under back mounting plate screws.
And vice versa, put washer under front screws if back leg bents/ burns more.
If that doesn’t help, go to gym.

When i was getting back leg burn my foil was too far back. Move the foil forward. Also a winder stance helps too. Front foot forward and back foot right back.

Once again thanks. Relaxed position helped. So did moving the mast forward. No burn at all now.
I loved the go to the gym comment made me laugh. I run about 2 hours a week. While pretending its fun so thats not an issue.

I can confirm I had less back leg burn by moving the mast forward !
