I'm trying to get down to a smaller wing, but so far all my attempts were unsuccessful. Perhaps the jump from 860 cm^2 to below 600 is too much... LF Thruster looks promising as an intermediary step with surface area in-between. It is currently on sale, so I'm considering if carbon version is worth extra $70. For that matter, what is Thruster front wing weight (carbon vs. glass)?

I have the fibre glass version. And the front wing weighs 800 grams exactly.

I would just continue with your small wing, it wont take long till you get it.
More power and speed, thats it.
I assume the reason you go down in size, IS to get more speed?
Also carry a bigger kite of course, necessary and very important
