I tried uploading a .fit file to your site at 0946 am, US east coast time, and followed it with the corresponding .gpx at about 0948.
Hopefully the site saves a copy of these files so you can see them (?).
I could email you one also if you like, but the forum doesnt seem to support doing this either in posts or through its email function...

The site does not save the files. The files aren't actually even sent to the site, all of the processing is actually done in your browser without talking to my server. Send me an email through kiteforum, when I respond it'll have my regular email address and you can send me an email with a regular attachment.

Interesting, thanks.

The only way I can get files off my Garmin 60csx to my old MacBook is to import them into Google Earth, export them as .kmz then convert back to .gpx

So if the wind was coming from the North directly, you should set 0?

Are you sure the output speed is in knots? It's telling me I'm cruising at 16 to 20 knots which a bunch of runs at over 30 :D I know my max speed that day was 33 kph...
If it will connect to Garmin's "connect" online service, you can export GPX tracks directly from there. Sorry you're having trouble with it, but I'm not likely to go back and add support for a device that seems to have been released 14 years ago. It may just not store the timing or resolution required for accurate speeds. I hope you understand!

No worries! MacOS literally won't recognize it as a device, although I can import from Google Earth. So, cest la vie and all that.

I seem to remember the sampling rate is pretty low -- my exciting S-turns downwind tend to read as straight lines :(

Maybe it's time to think about upgrading to a newer GPS device. On the plus side, the new watches are also a lot easier to carry while kiting.

Yeah but I've barely used this one :D and I've long since given up on watches -- the straps are so short they're always on the last one or two holes, and they come undone easily.

I'd like a board puck but for occasional curiosity, they're overkill.

Ok, I added FIT support. I'm calling it experimental because this was more complex that the whole rest of the tool. It seems to be working though. The test track you sent me seems to be a slow session on an east wind in the Caribbean, so hopefully that fits with what you expect. I think my tool does a better jjob of converting it to GPX than whatever you used to create the other GPX file you sent me, so that seems positive.

Let me know if it isn't working for you!
