I know a guy on his 3rd session on a 683 is doing 20 kn sitting on his board .
I am struggling to do 18kn standing on a broad reach and we are both on 6.2m Cloud kites in similar conditions.
What are others achieving and what suggestions so I can improve?

Fastest I've recorded is 22.0 knots on a 12m Hyperlink V1 in about 13 knots of wind, about 75 degrees off the true wind (i.e., heading of 285 degrees in a wind coming straight out of the north)
I've also recorded 21.8 knots on a 9m Cabrinha Apollo in slightly more wind, at a lower angle (about 90 degrees off the true wind).
I have a bunch of sessions where I've recorded at least 20 knots on it. I have GPX tracks and a spreadsheet with the details of all these.

Hi Grigor,
How would you compare the 633 to the 683? I love my 633, and use it from 13 to 30 mph wind.
Thanks!

Oregonkiter, are you in the gorge? If so, we may even know each other. If you want to check mine out at the event site sometime, let me know.

Difference #1 683s doesn’t keep foil floating on a side
#2 it’s thinner and smaller than 633 and rides faster
The lowend is probably not as low as 633 but near it and both wings can crawl at amazingly low speeds
I rode it on both standard and 743 fuselage (mast 40mm closer to the wing and it felt amazing)
I’m not selling the 633 yet, but 683s has been the wing I’ve been riding for past two weeks and it’s awesome!

This is on Onda 633 on 111cm mast. Will try 683S when I finally get it, but based on the numbers other posted it doesn't look any faster than 633.
