Here is a video of instruction for the air jibe transition on a hydrofoil. This is what I am currently working on and hope someone finds it beneficial.

RE: "I would never go back to a waist harness" bit. Maybe give yourself another couple years before you get so absolute. Start flying smaller kites with those bigger wings and you might find a waist harness is the right option for certain styles of foiling. Just like on a surfboard, the less powered and more curvilinear the riding, the more it suits the easy leg mobility, upright posture and toeside comfort of a waist harness.

Can't think of any serious foil manufacturer that does not offer optional wings.
windmaker, if you have time, could you list who currently offers performance carbon foils where all you have to do is switch the front wing for varied riding styles and expectations? I'd like to see who currently does this and their price point for the full packages. Thanks.

This reminds me of what I basically spent all season learning. I have a much less professional video of myself.
Took a lot of effort to get to that point. Now I'm starting on tacks. I think it will actually be faster to learn though, now that I have the foot switch down.

No time for research right now but I am sure a few others, Delta probably the only US brand that does.

Actually making the foot switch after the jibe is less intimidating but technically harder than doing it before as you don't get as much support from the kite
Too long and too much talking heads for my tastes to watch the whole thing through, sorry. You could have cut the first two minutes, for a start.
Since the end of (northern) summer, I've started taking a seat harness and a hybrid harness to the beach. Greatly prefer the "waist" harness (with Dynabar) for foiling with big wing and small kite. Especially starting strapless!
... still can't fathom why anyone would waste the fun of a gybe by changing feet in the middle (or even before) if they're not racing ...
