I don't know about 12m. I ride on Moses T22 and I don't know if it will start me up in 5-6kt.

Have you ridden your own 13 m2 with 30 m lines Ronin?

If not, I would do this and see how low you can go.

But of course, anything sub 6 knots it is almost impossible to keep any kite flying, unless extremely light or you keep it flying.

If you're asking about my Sonic2 13m then all I can tell is that it is for sale. I had a couple too many situations when it would fall from the sky when I was entering water which recalled all bad memories with Speeds and all those tangled lines. Sonic2 is not for me. I don't ride for speed, I like foilsurfing with Onda and need a kite that drift and hasn't different flying characteristics than Sonic.

I hate Soul for HF. It pull and pull more. Imo wrong kite for Onda. Anyway - if you insist on Soul - 12m is biggest usable for onda. For perspective i can ride 8m Soul in 7 knots - Onda/89kg.
In wind where you can use 15/18m Soul it will not fly.

With big wings you really don't benefit much from the bigger kites. (80kg, spitfire, custom xlw wing, style freestyle, staps and strapless

Strapless freestyle:
I can kite 19m R1V2 when the kite stays in the air moving. (too low wind to keep it in 12 a clock), about 4 knots. I would not call this enjoyable though

15m is ideal for me between 6 - 8 knots

12m is ideal 8-9 knots.

10 i use from 10-14 knots.

8m i use from 14-16knots

6m I use above 16 knots.

With straps and small wings for jumping
19m for anythin below 12 knots
15m from 12 to 15 knots
12m for 15-18 knots
10m 18-20
8m 20-25

I mostly use 10m just because i like the size. However 19m is pretty much impossible to relaunch (in 4knots). So you just need to keep it dry. Otherwise you swim. I swim a lot :D
