Sliding spreader bar dimensions

A = 22mm, B = 230mm a version of the Dynabar. A measured to centre line of rope. I minimised A by inserting a separate 3mm core after the main line was installed. I took the core out to a separate tie down point.

I also use a pulley hook as I mostly tether launch with a variety of non click in chicken loops.
A was measured from bar face could probably add ateast10mm to allow for bow in the bar and load if calculating line tension under load.

B limited to 16cm. Had it 30cm and it was too wobly

So answer is everybody want A as tight as possible and B is very personal

I don't want A as short as possible I tried a low-friction ring on my Dynabar and hated the contortions necessary to sheet right in. Went back to using the sliding hook and am happier.

Also got tired of figuring to adjust the rope to be as tight as possible (because it's better, they said) so it's also fairly loose on top of the length of the hook.

For sure regarding the spreader bar itself, wider is better. The rope though...

I do wonder how a rope Fireball would feel... Until I need to sheet right in on a toe side tack.
